As the Digital Marketing and Brand Specialist for Buoy Salon and Spa—New Zealand’s largest single-site salon and spa and L’Oréal Pro-Connect New Zealand Salon of the Year 2024 — I support all aspects of digital and brand strategy. In this role, I support a dynamic team of 36 and contribute to delivering a luxurious, innovative salon experience for over 270 clients per week. I am responsible for creating and executing digital strategies that reflect the Buoy brand, enhance the client journey, and drive measurable results across social media, e-commerce, and email marketing.
Content & Social Media Marketing – Developed high-quality content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok; managed content calendars; and fostered engaged brand communities through authentic storytelling and strategic posting. Achieved 140,000 total engagements on Instagram (@buoysalonandspa) in March 2025.
Brand Growth & Strategy – Shaped and evolved brand identity across all touchpoints; aligned digital presence with brand voice and values; and created in-salon and online brand experiences that reflected luxury, innovation, and trust.
Digital Advertising & Performance Marketing – Executed paid campaigns across Meta platforms; used A/B testing and performance analytics to optimise reach, engagement, and ROI.
E-Commerce & Email Marketing – Managed and enhanced the Shopify store; implemented effective conversion strategies; and delivered targeted Mailchimp EDMs with high open and click-through rates to drive sales and customer retention.
